Hi there , just wanted to tell those who may be interested in trying out a 2011 GG EC300 e-start that Motoadventure GG will be hosting a demo Near Kimball Nebraska(22 miles north) april 29th and 30th.
The demo will be held at The Motoadventure Ranch - the site of the 2010 RMEC enduro of the year. This area is "on the way" to the RMEC enduro at Chadron (which will be held the 1st of may).
Call (970) 669-5377( Motoadventure Gas Gas Kawasaki for more info.
The bike that will be available to ride is very nice- Has had the Single Track Mind magic service done to it. The terrain is also amazing- mostly single track and a course marked with arrows . A good place to warm up for the race on sunday- If you would like to ride your own bike at the ranch on those days Motoadventure will ask for a 10 dollar donation to the Banner county school district, which needs the help! There is free unimproved but mostly level camping available friday night. Hope to see you there!

Mudwasp,

Our riding group would like to come up and demo the new bike and take a ride around for the donation (glad to help)...Are the trails a short loop or long loop or should I just contact MotoA? We will plan on bringing a 2010 300 and the 2007 275 Nambotin bike I have if anyone wants to ride them and see how GGs hold up over time! If you need help in any way feel free to PM me!

Eric

Sweet! We will be really happy to see you there! We rode there today and put up tape and some arrows to get people out and back when not on a guided tour, there will be several of us there to lead rides, of varying skill levels.
The trails are everything - long and short! It is probably not what you are used to for riding- the property is 600 acres riddled with singletrack all laid out by a very good rider- for enduro bikes-not like the forest service and their ideas of what is a good ride.We put on about 30 miles today- went over some of the same trails more than once but we were marking them... If you are worried about Gas, the trails are more of an intertwined network with a couple of really good landmarks, you can go back to the campsite at pretty much any time in a 10-15 minute ride.
Directions:
I-80 east to the Kimball nebraska exit north, head north about 22 miles, 1 3/4 miles past rd 16 the camping area and sign up will be on your left, across from the Weigh Station" sign. The entrance will be marked with a MotoAdventure banner and orange enduro tape.
If you would like any more info feel free to call MotoAdventure at(970)669-5377.

Argh! Weather forecast for Saturday is not looking good :( Are you still planning to be there Saturday if it snows/rains? Us older folks can't handle the cold as well as we used to! :)

We will be there as advertised! Friday from 3-7,Saturday from 8-11( for the demo).
We are not all that young but do take our riding VERY seriously and will ride in pretty much any weather(maybe we are a bit stoopid too;)). There is only a 10% chance of rain on friday with 60 degrees and a 30% chance of rain on Sat with 47 degrees. Things blow in and out of that area really fast.If you are not able to make it , I'm sure we'll run into you some other time this season -Cheers!

Oh well, looks like this is not going to pan out for us :( as the 3 others just bailed on me today and it's too far to drive and pay for gas  on my own for a little riding on Saturday. Any chance of a rescheduling for sometime in the future?

Eric

Just wanted to let you all know that Bruce is headed out to the ranch, and we are still on for the demo rides! Its windy, but its worth it, I promise! I went 3 weeks ago, and rode in the blinding snow- a little breeze is nothing! Hope you all can make it!:D

The Demo ride was held this weekend, several people came to ride the new 300, everyone who rode it was impressed.
It was VERY WINDY( thought it might tip over our camper:eek:) but not too cold,The riding there is Fantastic We had a great time. It was nice to see Scott Bright and his family. Good luck to all the racers who will be competing at Chadron tomorrow!
Hopefully there will be another opportunity for those who couldn't make it this weekend-The riding season has just begun for some!
By the way, my own EC 300 preformed like a champ! I love this bike more every time i ride it,Having the suspension lowered and re-valved just for me at STM really has made the EC300 the perfect bike for me.

Mudwasp,

We are sorry we missed the ride but these things happen. I'm glad to hear all went well. We were really interested in the STM suspension and how the 2011 ran/handled. How's the jetting on your bike working for you? Are you running the stock gearing?

Eric

Stock gearing now- but ordering a 50t supersprox .
The jetting at stock setting is working quite well at the ranch(on the advice of the motoadventure guys we left it alone).Have not ridden it up in the high country yet- but i may need to change jetting for that.
I'll keep this section updated for future demo opportunities.
BTW took the bikes for a truck ride on sunday to redfeather lakes:)-jeep roads are almost open, if i didn't have an injured shoulder i would have ridden. There were some bigger drifts that would take a bit more upper body workout than i was able to muster.Have you been out since it snowed?

Hey, Coopernicus.. Christopher here from MotoAdventure. After the DemoDay, we headed to Chadron, NE for the Pine Ridge Enduro. Bruce took first place in his class on the GG 300E with STM suspension.. Bruce loves it!:D That's his second win on that bike (the Jack Rabbit Enduro in Bennet, CO was his first). Our other GG rider, Clint Jones, on a 250, won his class as well! We are doing our best to make a good showing. I too have STM work on my KX250f. I sure didnt win any awards, but the bike works wonders compared to Stock. I weigh 280 fully geared, so it took some major changes to make it work, but boy does it work! Please don't hesitate to call Dave at STM if you need some work done.
