New here.
My current bike is a beta alp 200. The 2 strokes are calling me right now, with the current prices. I have checked and i have from where to get parts. So I'm not afraid 😃.
My riding style is one day adventure. I take 150 km on highway, then i get to the off-road section.
I was down size to my current bike because of the weight. I travel a lot and solo only.
So between 2011-2017 i have a source of part. So which models are better? Which is mor agile. ? It's seems like it was a difficult time to the company.....

Of course i will put 50/50 tires and comfy seat. Do i need a chsh hub? In the ktm 525 that i had i did replace the reem.

All advice are welcome.
Thanks a lot.
I'm already excited of the new project 😊...

2010-2011 are essentially the same bike, bar the front fender and headlight. 2011 came with e-start. Smaller lighter, more nimble, trials like ergos.

2012 - I'd avoid. Transition year. Plastic subframe.

2013-2017 - Some variations in fork and shock combos. Some 2013 models had e-start (others kick only). Marzocchi PFP forks are nice but prone to anodizing wear internally. Ergos are longer and more stable. Much flatter. Different feel to the earlier bikes, but not bad.

Engine wise, minor revisions to the cyl porting. Powervalve preload adj was introduced somewhere around 15 I think. 14 had the revised ring gear and flywheel.

I'd personally try and choose which platform you like best, and then look for the best deal at your price point.

Thanks a lot. Exactly the information i searched. I like the idea of more nimble. my beta has this character of trial bike, and i like it much more then the 525 ktm that i had before, so I'll look for 2011 model. Thanks
