2011 EC250 to 300???

The trail got tight enough for my taste. I enjoy the open stuff much better. There is a section of the video where we were out in the field just zipping around. THAT is what I really like. Unfortunately much of the riding in middle TN has woods and trails.

So... Here is the plan...

  1. Jetting
  2. Gearing
  3. Researching a larger power valve cover
  4. definitely getting a Rekluse! I really enjoy them!

Then possible a cc change.

Thanks for all the input guys! I continue to ride and practice. Hopefully the decisions will make more sense, the better I get.

Now I have to demystify the jetting equation!

Skram,

I'm right down the road here in Mempho; you are welcome to ride my 2007 GG 300 to see if it's what you want. Next time I expect to ride it, I'm sad to say, will likely be at the Nat'l Enduro in MO on 9/9; after that, probably at Miss Loretta's in October.

John

John,

I will be a Loretta Lynn's for the entire weekend in Oct. I am sure we will see each other around the campgrounds. It's not like we have orange bikes. :)

If Clay and his son show up, there may be 4 or 5 Gas Gas bikes. I would love to take you up on your generous offer!

I'll probably be there as well since I haven't made Loretta's for awhile. Stu will most likely be there with his 2011 250 race model. There's a real good camp/ride about 2 weeks before Loretta's in central Kentucky that's excellent and Seven Springs in northern Alabama is early to mid November. Seven Springs is my favorite camp/ride. Of course you are welcome to come up here to Livingston and try my reclused 2011 ec250 any time you like. - Ken

You are on, Skram, I'll trade you a ride, there are times I wish mine were a 250, but I don't have much time on GG 250s.

I make a motion: That Clay have a hospitality tent for all loyal GG riders, with beer, snacks, masseuses, & dancing girls. The KTM guys will be so jealous!
