2011 front fender mount??

How does the 2011 front fender mount to the bottom triple clamp?
I am doing the 06-11 transformation so mabye the later triple clamps mounts are differentthan the 2006.
If thats the case what are people doing to make the front fender work, make a bracket?

2010 48mm triples have the 4 x threaded holes in the bottom/underside of the clamp. Bolts feed from below the fender directly to triple.

PS. The fender in your kit is different to the one in mine (which wasn't a conversion kit, just a 2011 plastics kit).

It makes me think yours might have an adapter bolted on already for maybe earlier models. I'd remove the plastic part on yours that sticks up in the photo.. if possible

as it is in the photo the guard is bolted through rear holes but the front holes sit infront of the triple clamp inline with the nuts on the bracket

When I did mine I just drilled 2 extra holes in the fender so they lined up with the original ones.

I also made a bracket to fit the peg into that's at the bottom of the headlight shroud.

It's the same fender he just needs to mark on the lower triple the holes in the plastic bracket and drill and tap them then bolt it on.

I'd drill & tap the triple clamp. When all bolted up to the triple clamp with the plastic bracket the fender is very rigidly mounted.

Don't forget to put the rubber grommet in the large hole of the bracket so the headlight peg will slide into it. Also use 2 nyloc nuts in place of the upside down flange nuts.

Not needed. He probably didn't have the oe plastic bracket like you have.

its the hole with two posts next to it for screws at the top of part 14 (its upside down compared to the way it sits on the bike)

I need to look at mine tonight. I don't remember doing anything, just snapping the air box together in the sub frame.

The only reason I made a bracket on my bike is because of the Yamaha triple clamps with the KYB forks. The face of the Yamaha clamp isn't as tall as the GG one.

Hmm I don't have that small face plate/brace adapter in my kit at all. Looks like I'll be drilling 2 holes to install, although in all honesty I was thinking I'd rather keep the 2010 fender and headlight. Much sexier.

I looked at mine and it's open. It looks like a flap of some sort should be mounted there. (water out but not in) Does anyone have a pic of the oe GG air box drain flap?? from a 2011 and older bike.
