2011 GAGSGAS EC 300 Rear Tyre Size?

Hi all

Needs some help please.

Almost due for a new rear tyre. It currently has a 120/90/18 Motoz Tyre.

I read in the manual that they come out with a 140/80/18, is this correct?

What size tyre should I guy for my bike?

Anyhelp would be appreciated.

120 or 130 are fine. I would stay away from the 140 as it may rub on exhaust when a heavy rebound happens.

Be aware that some manufacturers (Michelin for eg) measure their tyres from outside
edge of side knobs whereas others measure from sidewall to sidewall so a 140 Michelin is really only a 120 in other brands. Make sense?

I run a 120/140 for the extra footprint and traction on the 300. I don't notice any extra difficulty leaning it but I'm not that quick round corners anyway.

My thoughts exactly. A 140 isn't always a 140. When I run a 120 I don't notice any difference in handling over a 110 for the riding I do but I do get much better traction especially at low pressure
