Thats the made in Taiwan BMW motor with a red valve cover.

I checked out the new 250Fs. Very compact motor, light, tiny motor mounts got my attention! May be a great bike but I'd like to see how they hold up to a hard season first.

ugly graphics....

Glen, Fury1 has been beating up a 250f on the netra circut this year. One of his buddies is riding his race bike from last year in netra this year too. Thats gotta be a pretty good test .... no issues that I know of yet

skid,

Yeah I read some of Kevin's comments on Cafe Husky and they are not very good. He sounds frustrated. Other guys love the bike, but all riders and conditions are different. It just gives me the impression of being very focused, that being weight/performance and not longevity. This is just my gut feeling as an engineer looking at the bike, no experience, so I could be very wrong. 250Fs in general are a big engineering challenge as weight, performane, reliability, and cost are tough to balance. The Yamaha, while not the performance king anymore, is a proven reliable 250F motor in a woods bike.

So that's their new 450/510 bike. Not for me thanks

I would like to try the all new 310 with the new motor and FI. This will be a real seller for Husky if they get it close to correct.

yikes!!
didn't know you were having issues!!
I've been kind of digging my 144 but still not sure its the right bike for me ...

Tune up that racer resume and send it into the new distributor!! maybe they can get you a nice deal and back on the gas!!!

They are way cool, the 250 stroker motor will be a little Hot Rod alright. For those days when your Gasser won't deliver the proper fear factor.

The problem for Husky is their epa issues, I had their 310 and I REALLY liked the efi but setting them up was a pain and I still fell it was not fully uncorked! I sold it after 8hrs~ and it felt like 20 hrs of wrenching just to get it somewhat setup and in the end I gave up. I wish they would give up on the street legal epa version like the competition.
