thanks for the info. I'm somewhat suprised at the TTX.

Possibly something close to this which has a Sachs shock it looks like. TTX shock was on the Nambotin so not a big surprise. All nice additions.

What is the 48mm fork? A twin chamber or a larger version of the 45. I would love a 48mm version of the old 50. I could get the 50tc to work awsome!

The 48mm Zoke is a twin chamber design. It is all new.

I assume that these bikes will be 2012 models if they are building that late?

Notice the bikes behind it on the line appear to be different, look like '11 Six Days bikes. Forks for sure are not the same and look like the 45s (dark). One would conclude then that this is not just a Cervantes line.

Very nice stuff.

You can make the bearing as big as possible but if the spacer wears and seal passes dirt it won't help. When have you seen a bearing fail from overload?
Give me spacers with STAINLESS STEEL wear sleeves and standard bearings and I'll be happy. I've never had to replace bearings with good spacers.

Matt Stavish has a new business where he is making wheel spacers for GG (among other things):

http://checkpointoff-road.com/store.html

I know Glenn mentioned SS, but we have used this Teflon-impregnated hard coating on our laser scanner actuators, and the stuff is tough. These things ride in the front of a transit bus (exposed to snow, ice, and salt), and show no wear.

I bought a set (gotta' help a Minnesota brother out), but I haven't put them on my bike yet. (I also bought the brake pivot.) I have a set of Matt's triple clamps on my GG, and they're top notch. If you're looking for wheel spacers, give these a shot.

Just checked the HAAN wheel website. Those are pretty sweet wheels. From my bicycle racing days, wheels were the most important part of the bicycle. I've learned to appreciate sweet wheelsets.

I also noticed that there is no U.S. distributor. Clay, in your free time, you could distribute HAAN wheels here in the U.S. What else you gonna' do on weekends?

Yes, there are some nice more exotic materials for sure. SS is good though because its reasonable in price. I've had local shops make up SS spacers for about $50 a pair.

The one-off greaseable pivot I designed and Les detailed/made years ago finally died last fall, bent on a rock hit that snapped the pedal. The frame tab was fine though as the design was intended to protect. I got the CM pivot as an alternative to the OEM. Nice fit in the pedal bushing. Shoulder is thicker and pushes the pedal out a bit more, which I'm not too crazy about. A couple mm larger on the shoulder OD would be better to distribute load across the frame bracket.

So it comes down to the Racing Version or a Replica Edition. I am thinking the Racing will be the way to go, but depending upon price the Replicas look so sweet!

TM,
Unfortunately the US Dollar continue to weaken against the Euro. When I priced the Race versions, the Euro cost $1.30 US. When I priced the Replica models, the Euro cost $1.45. That has forced us to price the Replicas at $11,499 even with us taking a slimmer margin than normal. We really hated to price the bikes that high but we had no choice. However, the Replicas have some really nice features that last year's bike did not have.

The fact that the replicas do not come with the TTX suspension is going to hurt sales the most IMO. I am not saying the zoke 48 tc forks will not be good but they do not have the prestige or track record of the TTX.

I think most will opt to buy a base or race model and just add their own bling.

I did not tried the TTX forks but I can tell you that the new 48mm zokes are amazing...I don't believe it's a downgrade in terms of performance. I'll post a complete ride report as soon as I can .

It was said Cervantes and Nambo prefered the Zoke 48 CC fork, so, a replica is a replica. $11.5K though is really out there. Not blaming anyone here don't get me wrong, its just depressing. I guess the '12 base models will be way up too.:(.

We pay $11.5k AUD for a standard EC300E in Australia. Can I get a Lulu replica with a white frame and a date with her for that price?
