Girard should buy one, then let me try it :) But I think that I would need to lose about 50lbs to ride a 250f.

I don't think we will be getting any 4-strokes.

I just found out in order for Yamaha to agree to sell their engines to Gas Gas, that Gas Gas had to agree not to sell the units with Yamaha engines to the US distributor. Do you think we scared Yamaha? LOL. They obviously don't know how few we sold in 2011 or they would not care. We did not plan to order any 12's anyway.

Why do it with 4 strokes when I can get it done with two?

i would like to ride one.. the estart, in the stuff we ride, would come in handy.. i had a wr450 and did not really like it.. to heavy.. but it was probably pushing 270 wet..
not sure if a 250f is enough for a lard a** like me..

Hmmm. That's interesting.

I wonder what the rest of the story is???? Maybe Yamaha knows their engine would work better in a GasGas chassis. :D

wr 250 is seriously overweight.....but sure has a decent proven motor

must be good in a new GG chassis for sure.....I can see Yam didnt want to take a chance on GG stealing any thunder :p

WR250F sales are dead. There were plenty of leftovers dirt cheap.

I still think the GG250F is a cool bike, just not at the price they must ask for it.

there is an 11 gg 250f on ebay in dallas tx.. it has been on 3 times with no bids.. pretty nice bike.. last time it started a 3500... nothing..

there seems to also be alot of honda 250x's leftover also.. my bud has a new 09 on his floor..

I found a cashed copy in google from those guys. I rode a KTM 350 XCW a few weeks ago, that thing was super out of the box and with no suspension work.

one of my buds, who is a die hard 50 yr old 2 stroke motocross rider rode one of those and was very impressed also.. said if he ever went away a 2 stroke it would be the 350..

I was surprised at the lack of engine braking, which messes me up being a 35 year 2T guy. I am 230 + gear and the suspension was soft but didn't bottom in some nasty stuff that I took it though. I think that I could live with it out of the box, maybe lower it 1" for my stubby butt. Power was very smooth and it felt very, very nimble.
