So I have been trying to figure out if anyone makes a bigger gas tank for my 2013 EC300. I called one shop they said yes:) but they are on back order, then I called Clark and they said no-go:( does anyone know if there is a bigger tank for the 2013 bikes?
Thanks.

gas tank

I was wondering about larger tanks myself, but haven't done any research yet. Hopefully there will be large tanks available in the near future

Pretty sure we will be outta luck for larger tanks in the future. The GasGas frame/shroud arrangement isn't built to accommodate a larger desert type tank. If it is a larger tank you seek for whatever reason, maybe a different brand is what you may need??

I don't plan on changing bike/brand for a while. I guess if i really need to carry extra fuel, this is an option:

But most likely if needed i will just carry a small aluminum camping/hiking fuel bottle in my back pak.
If you take up eastside riding...carry more than one, or do a driveby gas stash mid-route. I found it WAY to easy to ride beyond fuel range one way. Wetside riding, I generally don't carry extra fuel. I just loop through to the staging area & ride back out.

I generally leave the staging area with a gallon in my pack. I have carried up to three extra gallons for an extra big day.

Thanks for all the info, Bad deal someone is not offering a bigger tank, looks like I'll carry some extra on the bike or in my pack. I see there are all kinds of containers that can be used for extra fuel. Right now I'm trying to get my APT-Smart carb installed and running right, this should help with getting better fuel mileage:)

A 4l MSR dromedary bag is another good option for carrying extra fuel. You can stuff or tie it just about anywhere & they're pretty tough.

I put mine in my Wolfman tank bag when needed. Gives me about 2.5 liters of extra fuel doing it that way.

extra fule

You might fund this of interest. I have a 2012 ece 300 and have an extra 2 ltr tank jubile clipped to the inside rear panel. Just had to put in longer stand off to miss the rear wheel.

Ive been thinking of doing something like this. Can you post a pic? I'm very interested.

A friend of mine just tapes a 2-2.5 liter water bottle filled with fuel on the front fender. Once he has enough free space in the tank he just pours it in (witch should be soon enough). The empty bottle is then squashed and into his back pack.

p.s. might not work if the trail is very hard from the get go, but i presume you are riding softer and long trials since you manage to empty a fuel tank in one days ride

I have reached out to all three company's that make after market large tanks and none off them make it for my 2014 300. What's funny is that all three make it for orange all we need is one of them to step up and they can clean up with GasGas. I am sure that everyone that rides far can benefit from one.

I didn't see any real improvements in efficiency between the Lectron, Smart Carb, and a well tuned Keihin. All working on a fresh engine with tight squish clearance.

I carry an extra litre in my backpack which gives a total of close to 11L (pretty sure I can squish a bit more than the 9.5L into the tank). Regularly ride 115-120kms of mixed terrain on a tank over around 3 hours.

Given most other riders are on fuel injected 4T's (and some with large tanks as well) and get better mileage than us, it makes sense to simply carry a length of fuel hose which you can use to syphon some into your own 1L bottle.

Always carry enough premix to make another 10L of fuel so I can either mix a litre on the side of the trail scabbed from someone else, or if we want to more kms we factor in a fuel stop somewhere. In a couple of cases we have had fuel stashed in strategic locations, but this takes foresight and planning.

Most of my riding is in the sticks with a few transport sections. I'm generally on the throttle in the tight stuff, and back off and putter in the open sections. If I rode more open terrain I'd gear it taller and probably see even better range.

Carrying fuel just sucks... have done it years...I am over it.

Love my Gasser, but unfortunately, a new GG is off the list until there is a bigger tank available, pure and simple.

Not going to happen. The numbers simply don't add up to even cover the cost of the mold.

Here you go....
