I like it. Wonder if they did anything to the motor? A factory 144/150 would be real cool.

Thats a shame, seems like it would be too big and heavy for a 125. With the old frame you could get away with this because it was smaller, but now?

I compared my 2011 EC125 frame with a EC300 and the difference is only the stearing angle and the lower pipes below the motor. The mainframe ist NOT smaller than the EC300 one. The biggest difference between the 125 and the 300 is the weight of the engine. The 125 motor is about 15lbs to 20lbs less. This makes the big difference in the handling.

Yes I know that, but the point is the older frame starts out smaller for the 250/300, so it seems more correct for the 125. I like the new frame but lets face it it was designed as a 250/300 and will be heavy 125.

about the new frame compared with the older one, you are right, but I checked the weight and the difference is only the motor!

Maybe Girard, but it has "125" graphics too if you zoom in. Think they would they go to that detail?

which goes to show you, I think, that the next area for development for GG to focus on, is to get some weight out of the 250/300 engine.

The swingarm is likely hiding a couple pounds, but my guess is that you're right about the engine being a prime target.

It's amazing where you can save weight while improving function - the new AXP poly skid plate is almost a pound lighter than the aluminum piece it replaces.

I would so scramble that bike! The memories.............Of wide open throttle and light clutch feathering. :D I miss my 125.

I still have vivid memories of Guy Cooper flogging his RM144 through the woods at a 2 day qualifier we had.
It was truely musical:D.
