2013 gg 125

I'll bet its heavy, sorry. Athena cyl is good, see no reason why a factory 144 is not possible then. If my buddy buys my '07 250 I'm leaning toward a Husky 144/150 if I can find a nice late model used one.

It seems to be missing the engine mount that ties into the cylinder head...speaking of cylinder...I see Athena - does that mean we can get a bolt on 144 kit now??

Also, that pipe is really different from the one on my 2011..

I don't think that you can have a bolt on 144cc.
I have now a lot of experience with my custom build 144cc and I can tell you that the stock engine is not strong enough to withstand the higher power output.
As example, I had to change the crank bearing to bigger ones, put a reinforced rod in and so on and so on.

Is it me or does the motor seem to be very high in the frame? It seems that it cannot be pivoted down very far due to the front motor mount. Perhaps it is the exact same cradle with different mounts.

It is. If you look at this bike and a new 250/300 side by side you can see that the 125 engine is sitting a good inch or more higher in the frame.

Think I'd pass on this GG, too many compromises. Of course this is based on a pic and we havn't ridden any yet, but it can't be as optimized as the other 125s.

I think it looks high because the tranny isn't at much of an angle from the engine. It looks suspiciously like a YZ 125 engine.

Look at the older 125 frame, the front cradle is different than the 200/250/300, has more of a curve to it. This allows the motor to rotate around the swingarm pivot down in the front more. This cradle is exactly the same as my 250 with different tabs welded on. Yes, the GG125 motor shares many traits and some parts with the pre '05 YZ125 motor. Some Honda parts as well.

We aren't going to bring anymore 125s into the US but I was talking to a dealer today who told me he had a new, never started 2011 125 Six Days. I thught they were all sold. Here is the contact info if anyone is interested in it.
