2013 XC300E Counter Shaft Seal

It looks like I have a slow leak behind my front sprocket and I would like to confirm that I can lie the bike on its side and replace the counter shaft seals and bushings like I have done with other bikes (from the outside). A quick search shows this to be the case with some of the older GGs, but I have not found anything for my year yet. We have done this on some Yamaha 4Ts with great success!

I have not found the parts on gasgaspartsguy.com either so I am gonna give them a call tomorrow. I would like to replace all the seals and bushing at once and usually there are at least 2 o-rings on the other bikes I have done this to.

Easy as pie mate. Remove the bits and pieces required to remove the sprocket. Once off pull the seal. The bushing, and the 2 o rings off the shaft. Throw some fresh gear in and bobs ya uncle!

Awesome, that is what I was hoping for. I had such a great day yesterday in the woods, I cannot wait to get back out there!

I just got off the phone with Gasgaspartsguy (Matto cycle) and big thumbs up again for the excellent customer service over there. New parts will be here soon, sounds like an opportunity for another how to video on youtube...

Thanks BLD.

I'm the kind of person who likes to know what I'm doing before I do it and always struggled a bit learning these bikes too. I'm sure your vids will help someone out.

Always much easier when you know what goes where and so on.
