I was at the Tennessee Knockout yesterday, it was raining hard until right before the start on Sunday morning. I filmed this quick clip of Colton Haakar who not very far behind Cody Webb on the first lap of the first knockout race in the am. They were ripping it up! This was one of the nicest events that I have ever attended.:D:D:D:D

This was the walk in to the race, the rain had just let up as I got out of the truck.:D
The course was back toward the mountain to the right.

I was there too - raced on Saturday. It rained Friday night as well, so Saturday was sloppy.
Out of 180 racers, only 37 completed 2 laps (13 miles each) in the three hour time limit.

For myself, I was having a very good race for the first 8 miles, then came to a section called "Uphill Swamp". There must have been 15 bikes steaming and smoking with riders pushing and revving trying to make it up. I bush-hogged off the trail to get around them and it was an epic failure. Even worse rocks, and no help from any of the staff working the event.
Took close to an hour to get up the hill and I exhausted myself. Rode another 1/4 mile, made a turn and there's another hairy rock section. I bailed out at mile marker 11.5 as I was out of water and totally fried - actually got close to the red zone - just couldn't go anymore - made a couple of stupid mistakes and went down - realized I was going to hurt myself.

I met Geoff Aaron there - he was in that GasGas van and was putting around on a trials bike for the Red Bull camera guys to practice their angles. Dude is 6'5"!

That hill that Colton Haaker made look so easy ended up being extremely gnarly once it got chewed up. Lots of carnage there on Sunday.

The grass track section above was also in our loop right at the beginning. It was a spiral - when I went into I couldn't figure out where it was taking me. In the middle, you made a tight turn around some barrels and spiraled your way out. Bikes were going in opposite directions in adjacent lanes (plenty of room). It was awesome!

Didn't see any other Gassers there which was fine with me as I got all the loving from the trials guys. Beta had a very impressive showing - quite a few competing at the event.

Cody Webb made the craziest obstacles look easy - he was amazing to watch.
Wade Young's speed was really impressive as well.
There was a guy there from a group called Trailjesters - not a factory guy. He won Saturday morning, advanced to Saturday afternoon, won that, then qualified 8th on the Sunday hot lap.
He ended up getting 4th place - think his name was Ben Kelly. That's some serious endurance.

Incredible piece of property and by far the gnarliest race I've ever participated in. Wore the GoPro and will get a vid up on Youtube and post it. Will also be back next year for sure!

You are all welcome! Combatyoga, I would love to see your Gopro video.:D
I was very impressed with all the riding and the event overall.

Here's a link to my gopro vid from the 2016 TKO.
The real carnage starts at 43:00. That is the hill called "Uphill Swamp".

I'm running the House of Horsepower pipe, silencer and carb slide, S3 head with high compression insert, Tubliss front and rear with 6.0 psi in the back.

Great video, thanks for posting! The Uphill Swamp looked like torture. It seemed like the tubliss system working was working well. After watching a few videos of KTMs, it seems like the front ends are constantly moving around because they don't turn worth a darn, unlike your gasser which seemed to be stable and turn great.

I raced TKO as well! I was on row 19. I finished one lap in 2.5 hours. That course was no joke, it just didn't quit! When you would clear one obstacle there was no break with some easy trail riding to catch your breath, you just rode right into the next rock garden. In the end though I had a ton of fun and will be back next year.

I just walked it this year. But now I live only 70 miles away so I guess I will be riding it next year.

I'll trade training ideas with you next year Moto - there are some aspects I will definitely change to better prepare for that event.

Hey John, always enjoy seeing your posts and a big **Welcome Back Home to TN** to you and your family!!
Def, will have to come out there for next years TKO Event and walk the course with you guys.
What a magnificent piece of property to ride on and hold this event.

Check out this drone video of the TKO Event.
Shows the "Vertigo Spiral" with #1 Cody ripping it!
Love the Enduro Cross sections and the various rider techniques used to negotiate the multiple obstacles and features.
Def, a 'must do' in every GasGas Riders schedule!!

The spiral was so cool! I was beginning to wonder if it was ever going to end though. Lol
