2018 XC/EC 300 (phoenix) part list?

is it just me or do others think the bikes come with the rear axle in the wrong way round?

My reasoning is that if you have the nut on the rhs and you keep hitting rocks the nut will not loosen. if the nut is on the lhs (as per the factory pics) if a rock hits the nut there is a good chance of it loosening it as it will be forcing it anti-clockwise (unless you are moving in reverse!)

Seems like Euro 4 models will come with 21mm Dellorto. 'Race' models will be 38mm good old proven reliable Keihin.

21 mm carb on a 300? Yikes.

My XR-75 in 1974 had a 19.5 mm carb.

The Del'Orto site (http://dellorto.it/en/products/carburetors/) shows that carb, but here are the details:

Engine: 50-100cc, 2 stroke

Application: Motorcycles

Production place: Made in Italy

Venturi diam.: 15 - 16 - 17 - 17,5 - 18 - 19 - 19,5 - 20 - 21mm

21 mm would never flow enough air to satisfy a 300 cc 2-stroke.

I opened the manual, and it shows the 21 mm carb. wow. the drawing matches the part number above. Crazy!

From my understanding the 2018 comes with the delorto carb fitted to meet emissions however the keihin also comes for you to fit yourself.

Probably different depending on geographic. I know the Aussie 18 EC's have Keihins fitted. Haven't asked if the Delorto comes in the crate.

Ahhh, that would make sense. Gotta' bend those rules.

Thanks for the update.

Same here in Greece. Keihin pre installed but with different jets for homologation and the others in it's box for you to install them.

By the way from a short test ride I did the bike feels lighter and more nimble than my 2015.When the weather cools down a bit we will have the opportunity to have it for a ride at our trails.
