Lithium batteries are fine for non frequent use as long as there is no drain on the battery. Google parasitic drain and do some tests on your bike. Mine has sat for a couple of months with no charge and fires straight up on the button on the still stock battery.

Reread my post. There needs to be no parasitic drain on the battery for you to be able to leave them connected. If you fail to do these tests if you have a problem then the bike will drain any battery fitted.
