Ac tail light m, DC headlight?

Hi folks

Any way to run dc headlight and ac tail?

I have a battery fitted complete with rec/reg and running hid front light, DC horn and tail/stop light.

I'm finding the brake switch causes a slight short meaning the brake light is always on not bright just dimly glowing and kills the battery after a week or so.

I like my hid front, don't want to add a key switch any options?

I have changed the brake switch twice and tried different brands after a couple of weeks same thing happens.

Which year and model of bike?

Since the stator is normally grounded, you can connect your rear light to the stator yellow wire. The running filament can go direct to the yellow wire. The brake filament can go to your brake switch. The other brake switch terminal goes to the yellow wire. Then you just connect the bulb's shell to ground so there is a circuit.

Keep in mind you will only have brake and tail while the engine is running. AC works OK with an incandescent bulb. Your reg/rect should prevent any excess voltage.

Thanks for the reply.

Hadn't thought of doing it that way suppose it would work ok, just with the taillight on all the time.

Ill rewire the brake circuit to AC and should do away with my problems.

Cheers

Apologies for the double post. Who knew hitting return while typing on a phone auto posted the topic rather than a new line lol.
