Someone has taken my 2005 GasGas FSE 450. I live in Kelowna BC but the bike was in winfield(also called lake country), BC. It is 15mins away from Kelowna.

The VIN is:

VTRFS4500F0250289. It has stock red plastics, a B&B skid plate, Kreiger exhaust. The graphics on the shrouds are kind of peeling off, and I had a dirt-bike-gear.com bag on the back. The chain is a D.I.D Gold X-ring.

Here is the most recent pics I have taken of it, when I put on the Cycra Bark busters:

It was taken by a lifted up truck with BFG Mud-terrain tires. 10 inch width (this makes them about 33's). Center to center (left to right) wheel width is 69 inches. There will probably be an offset because of the lift. This makes it a smaller/mid size truck like a Frontier, Tacoma, or Ranger. Not sure which. They have a hitch because I see the gouge it made in the bank he pulled up to.

If any of you guys see it call the cops or let me know at anethema@gmail.com

Thanks guys, I wont be able to afford another bike for at least a couple years :( There goes my summers. Since my sister killed herself biking is about all that keeps me sane so this really sucks. Anyways, thanks again everyone.

I hope the culprit is caught and prosecuted to the full extent of the law.Your chances are much better at recovery, being it isn't a common brand.

Good luck and I hope you get your motorcycle back soon and unharmed.

Bike thieves are the lowest scum on the planet. I am so sorry to hear that your bike was stolen and I sincerely hope that you get it back and that the law comes down on those responsible, HARD!

A long while back - a 2001 ec300 with ohlins forks was stolen from the same region. Don Clarke contacted me and thought it might be heading down to the U.S. and to post on the forums for him.

So you washington & oregon guys - keep an eye out. Here in Oregon - you don't need a title to get a off-road tab. Keep an eye on craigslist and bikes being parted out on e-bay.

Bummer anathema we'll keep an eye out for it.

Sometimes these things resolve themselves with the bike being returned.

We had a bike stolen from Mark's (Wannabe) van one time that went missing for about a month when one day we get a call from a gal who was wondering if we could give her an estimate on what a motorcycle was worth.

She said her boyfriend had told her he had gotten this great deal on a GasGas and said the bike was worth $5000. She just wanted to make sure that the bike was worth that much and thought she'd call the phone number she saw on one of the stickers on the bike.

She must of thought something was up as she wouldn't give us to much information about were she was from. Although we had her number off of caller id. Mark eventually worked his charm on her and she gave up where the bike was located.

Needless to say we had the bike back that evening.

Ya that would be nice. The bike was having a battery or stator problem (havent had time to trace it back yet) but the bike wasnt charging the battery much if at all.

So I might find it in a ditch somewhere when they figure it doesnt run. Heres hoping!

Hope it turns up!

I had a bike disappear off the loading dock at the Vitran terminal in Chicago. I was shipping it to a customer and it never made it through it's trailer transfer in Chi. I asked the terminal manager if they had any one fired or quit that night. Never did find it - 2001 XC 250 brand spanking new.
I did get a nice fat, juicy check out of Vitran however.

We also had an attempted theft, kind of funny... we had the bikes chained on a trailer, and we chained the trailer to an I beam on our unfinished steel building... thieves come in the dark, see no hitch lock on the trailer, hook up, take off at full speed... well, they must have stopped rather quickly once the chain ran out - from the skid mark they left. We looked for any one with a tweaked bumper for a few days. At least we had the bikes and they got the trip to the transmission shop.:D

Everyone keep an eye peeled on ebay.
Might want to alert the dealers in your area if she's having probs, but like you said, it'll probably end up in a ditch somewhere.

We're pulling for ya man!
Good luck.

There are a couple of guys in Cashmere with FSE's. Im sure they will pipe in when they see this.
