Hey Fred, do you you have a copy of the Almosta logo that is big? I'd like to put it on the OCCRA homepage but I need to make a banner.

And, the husband and I are going to come check this thing out (first timers). :)

I'm not a 'web' guy but there is a banner, if you can copy it, on the web page or the logo on FB is the only other one I have www.almostarace.com

I was just hoping you already had one. :)

Here's the one I made in case y'all need it:

Hey Fred,

Almosta race is always a great ride and fun time. Look forward to it!

-----UPDATE------

According to Trailboss Jake.

Just got in off the trail and thought I would give a report of the conditions.

Spent all day out there with Mark "Hardcore" Cantrell and we put the finishing touches on what is going to be nothing short of epic.

The soil conditions are primo perfect. Traction is awesome. Hell, even the rocks are tacky. The ups are good, and the downs are even better. The leaves are a little slick in places, but with them being wet they are chewing up and flying right off the trail.

There are a couple of off camber lines that are a little bit of a challenge right now, but after you guys get a ledge formed they will be awesome.

Tire choice this year would be a knobby for most. There are a couple of rock lines, but not enough that you will want to give up the aggressiveness of a knobby. Lots of new trail, with lots of dirt. The majority of what is not dirt is a gravely loam.

The new section called "1/2 a bubble off" will be a riot. We have added this so the spectators will have something to watch close to the pits. It's just plain cool.

The A-Loop guys get a full trip around the "Bottoms". It's fast, flowing, black loam creek bottom that is the reward for the sections before and after.

Everybody gets the grass track. It's up, down, around, and MEGA fast. Crank that damper down and whack the throttle. We will station a course worker at the end to help wipe the smiles off your faces.

See you guys tomorrow.

Riders meeting at 11:45
(MUST KNOW INFO, DON'T MISS)

Some important info for our Almosta spectators this year.........Gate fee applies same as last year-$5 per person, OR non Perishable food items, OR clean & bagged clothing, all gate proceeds go to the Manna Center in Siloam Springs....Something new for this year- Trailboss Jake has taken care to get as much of the race course as humanly possible close to the pit/parking area, I believe there are 3 miles of the course within 1/4 mile of the pit/parking area and some of the good elements as well. HOWEVER- if you would like to bring your ATV or Side x Side for deeper access to the course BE ADVISED that we will be charging $20 per motor powered vehicle this year....you will be required to attend a MANDATORY drivers meeting before being allowed past the pit/parking area and you will be restricted to a marked route for the day. At the meeting we will explain the rules/route and you will be given a sticker that will confirm that you attended the driver's meeting, you will also receive a route sheet/map with the ATV/SxS route along with the course elements marked on it to make it easier for you to navigate around the property. As noted above, your gate fee will go to the Manna Center but your vehicle fee will go to Rider Down Foundation as does the racers entry. I have posted a copy of the map you will get below, YELLOW Trail is the ATV/SxS route, GREEN TRAIL is 'B' loop, & RED TRAIL is the 'A' loop, if you will notice the green or red trail crosses the Yellow trail on 8 different occasions, the racers will have right of way at these points and they will be clearly marked so there is no confusion. THE YELLOW TRAIL IS A TRANSFER TRAIL NOT A RACE COURSE, excess speed on the yellow trail will result in you being escorted off the property-there will be no refunds!....... It is approximately 2 1/2 miles from the pit/parking area back to the grass track/back check area so there will be plenty of trail for you to enjoy. You are free to walk/bicycle anywhere in the map area but the safety of everyone in attendance is of the utmost priority for us and YOU will be responsible for maintaining a SAFE distance from our racers. We are going to try this out for this year's event and see how it goes but if there are to many issues/problems then future Almosta Races will be under the "if you aren't racing then you're walking" rule.........We look forward to having everyone out and hope you have an enjoyable day in the woods of Wildcat Ranch!

3 days to Almosta! Jake and the sweep crew put in some hard work yesterday to accomplish the re-route and it may be better than the original! Hard working Doug Green was out in the woods today getting the spectator trail properly marked + he has the back check stocked with firewood to keep those guys warm for the day. Weather looks a little nippy but it looks like any chance of moisture is going to hold off until the evening. Miss Mary the Almosta Lady and Pat Green have been working on the auction items & rider gift bags and those things are coming together nicely. I have a new heater built for the fire pit along with maps and information sheets for the spectators & racers. Just had a phone conversation with a fellow from Little Rock that is planning on being here with another rider for their inaugural Almosta Race...........It's a coming!!!!!

Hey Fred,

Almosta race was FFFUUUUNNNN. Had a great time. Terrain was wild, not to dry and not to wet, but was challenging to all. The Gas Gas handle it perfectly. I never crashed or got stuck and only tapped one tree with the bars. I did witness a lot of carnage though. I wasn't the fastest in the bunch but did my best. Chilly was also very tasty! Thanks to you and Mary for hosting this event. can't wait till next year and the grass track was a blast.

Thank you! Another Almosta Race in the books! Epic year so far, temps were a tad cool and we ended with a light spattering of rain on & off through the day.116 riders, (58 teams) the Missouri team of Austin Butler & Nathan Rector (I believe both were first timers) took both 1st place trophies back to Missouri & cinched the Almosta Border War for Missouri as well. Final Border War tally was MO-8, OK-7, AR-5. Both hole shot trophies now live in Oklahoma as well. No injuries, a lot of smiles, many first timers. A huge ALMOSTA THANK YOU to all our racers, spectators. sponsors, individuals that donated and especially our volunteer workers. The MAGIC at Wildcat ranch is still alive! First run of totals from the Almosta Lady on what you guys did this year- Riders entries & T-shirts-$3,936.00, Auction items-$2,763.00, ATV Spectators- $140.00 for a Rider Down total of $6,839.00 PLUS cash at the gate that goes to The Manna Center of $700.00 cash, 200# of food & 12 bags of clothing Thanks again to our wonderful Almosta Family! Happy New Year!!
another note: We had another GG rider from Oklahoma here that lost his rear brakes right off the trailer so even though I don't get to ride this race my bike got to....there were three or four Gassers this year!
