Any one know if the 11 pipeguard fits the 12??

Anyone know if the 2011 pipeguard will fit the 2012 bike????????? I went riding with my buddy/s this weekend and noticed his 2011 6 day 250 with carbon fiber pipeguard/His stock pipe has the same part number stamped on it as my 2012 300. bend looks the same except for the very end and the mount at the end?????? What the hec?? looks like I could have had a pipe guard all along????

I've used the same P3 guard on a 2011 and 2012 with no problem.
