I was at a buddies shop and he had one on the shelf and while he was on the phone with a vendor I took to my usual... picking up just about everything and touching it.. The fastway damper kinda looked like a scotts or GPR.. but a bit smaller.. looked like a nice little unit.. I liked the knobs way better than my scotts.. I've never seen anybody use one.. in fact.. I only briefly remember that they were even made.. kinda like that motsportz one.. that I've seen people use.. and they seam happy.. just dont hear much.. everywhere you hear scotts and gpr.. I've had both now.. I didnt like the dampen back to center on my gpr as it made the steering heavy.. but.. having the scotts now.. I kinda miss the gpr.. just seamed to work better.. I may have to play with my scotts more.. but I personally like to set them up once and forget they are there.. which is how the gpr worked.. never touched it after initial setup and tweeking.. only noticed it was gone when it needed to be rebuilt..
So anybody use the fastways, heard of anybody using them?? have an opinion..

Let me know if you get any feed back ! I have had my eye on one for a while now .. I took a Raines Riding University school and he is sponsored by Fastway and was running a "GPR" ??

They do Look Bad A$$ though! Even if they are not good for anything else !

I am also considering the Motsportz Damper too !

fastway

I am also considering one of these, and since i live in Idaho i would like to support a local business, but i had a concern that since this was an ELKA design was it made here or just imported and repackaged and branded with a Fastway logo. Why is this important? Service, in a word, if i need to have it serviced, or rebuilt, who is going to do that. So, i sent them an email and asked, they wrote back that the stabilizer while an ELKA design, was built, and serviced here in Boise idaho. I probably will end up buying the f3 from them in the very near future. FYI i think the Fastway pegs are the best on the market.

It did look really nice,, thinking I may try one out. I have to check if the mounting is the same as the Scott's. If so it be easy to pop on and try for a day. Next time I'm at my buddies shop I'm gonna ask him to borrow it for a day to test.

The mounting is the same as SCOTTS.
In fact, Fastway does not make mounts for Gas Gas bikes. You have to out source them from SCOTTS.

Here's my review of the Fastway. I really like how it has no resistance on the bar's return to center and when you dial it back it has no resistance while riding tight woods.

So I could use a Scott's mounting system and a Fastway dampener?

Steve,

If you want to sell that Scotts, and its in good shape, let me know. My '07 has a custom tower with a longer offset and arm, which I can't use on my '12, so no easy swap over.
