Anyone doing the Shelton Enduro?

Just wanted to check and see if any Gassers will be at the Shelton Enduro on May 5. I love this event and the terrain is awesome. I did the short course last year (60 miles) and am going for the long course this year (90 miles).

I've heard so much about this one. It's on the "to Do" list. Then again, so was the D100. The exception...Now I'm mobile again. Got to get my 01 XC suspenders off to Les for service.

Yeah, after last year I learned my lesson and have been training hard to get ready for the long course. It seriously kicks you butt! But such a fun event. Cant wait.

Sweet. I'll keep my eye out for the hybrid. I have always thought that would be the perfect NW woods bike!

I've been getting myself in shape for this one and am ready for that long course this year! Cant wait!

Love these enduros.

I had fun at this event, it was my first enduro. Those trails in Shelton are prime and the weather was perfect to boot. Anyone know if the results or pictures being taken are available online?

PEB,

Check here: http://www.psermc.org/

They should have it up by the end of the week I think.

Did you do the short course or long?

Long was 90+ miles and took me nearly 7 hours! I finished and did not hour out, which was my goal. Amazing event and endless singletrack. Big shout out to the PSER folks who put on a wonderful event and do a fantastic job. Can't wait for next year!

I did the long course. I assume I did allright as I was early at just two checkpoints and never more than 9 mins late. The format was fun, It would be fun to get all the gear and try to master the timekeeping, but I would rather buy chains for the saw.

Boy, I'd love to ride Saturday, but have Mom's Day commitments.

Another derail, but is anyone doing the Devil's Head or Lone Wolf? Funky Chicken is July 6-7.

BTW, PEB you are the man! I came in 40 min. late at the end! Took a long break at both gas stops to get rehydrated and rest. Can't wait for next year though!

I missed the Shelton Enduro to race at Straddleline, wish I could have participated. Bummer that the Winter GP series had as many conflicts, but that is bound to happen. But, I completed my challenge of racing a series to the end and I got some decent hardware. Next year, for sure I will be at the Shelton run. Can't make the Fun Run either, because that would be four consecutive weekends on the dirt bike, the wife would NOT be happy.

Riding Saturday at Capitol Forest, staging out of Straddleline for security purposes (heard enough about issues at Rock Candy to try to avoid it). Probably hit the trails around 9:30 AM. Gonna be a slow day, just a fun tootle through the woods with some friends, nothing competitive (he said with a wink). Probably just do a simple 30-40 mile loop and call it a day at beer-thirty. Then the Meet-n-Greet next weekend at Tahuya.

Thanks... for the info...

All three of the aforementioned are on my schedule, but for now I must concentrate on the Idaho city qualifier. All I need to do is get a first place finish so I can go to Italy for the ISDE... Walk in the park, right?
