Are pre 2012 bikes overweight too??

Just for comparison and what approx 15 years of big buck R&D can do, the 2014 YZ450F now weighs 245 wet, full tank of fuel (2gal). So that is approx 233lbs w/o fuel. That is also carrying around the extra FI components. If it was a carb, it would be lighter. The 2009 YZ450 is 238lbs wet.

It's just crazy to me that modern 450's are now lighter or very close to a lot of Enduro 2 strokes.

Yeah, that is what they should weigh. How much fuel was in it? Kind of important.

Whatever is left in the reserve portion of the tank.
