Don't ever own one of these things. She ran off with the spring loaded thingie that holds my air filter in on my 07 EC300.

Anybody got a spare?

PS: Other big items she's disappeared with:

1/2" Snap On torque wrench.
1/2" breaker bar.
Endless sockets.
Air filter with cage.
Tech 6 boot.
Propane torch.

And the list goes on and on. I have no idea where she takes them. :o

Sorry buddy I just have to laugh!:D

We have a yellow lab and a half bordie collie/papion mix and they both manage to carry tools and bike parts out of my garage all of the time.

The lab always runs off with my riding gear. Guess he does not want daddy to go with out him.:D

My pitbull doesn't run off with stuff. She just chews and grinds it to dust where she finds it. I need to train her to break beads on tires, put that jaw to good use!

It works both ways though. She dragged home an almost brand new Skil worm drive saw in it's case a couple of years ago.

I asked all the neighbors if they were missing a saw to no avail.

Oh sure, blame the dog. :)

At least you can blame it on the dog. My two beasts (Redbone coonhound and "borderline aussie) aren't interested in anything unless it smells like bacon or liver or something rotten.

I was installing my new Cycra CRM handguards today. I had to put a spacer under my bar mounts and lost one of the brand new longer bolts that I picked up. I bet I looked for that thing for an hour!!! I refused to believe it was not somewhere in plain sight... I never did find it!! Finally went to the hardware store and got another one.

LMAO! Sorry, I have a black lab too and he always takes off with stuff. One time he stole my buddy's helmet off his Harley.

One time I dropped a green handled phillips in the garage ,saw it bounce accross the floor ,the dog(husky)grabbed it 2nd or 3rd bounce.I followed her and found alot of tools I didn't know I was missing under a shrub.TRUE STORY.Sorry I don't have you're springy thingy. YOU HAVE TO THINK LIKE A DOG TO OUTSMART THEM .

A little threaded rod, a few nuts and washers, a spring, heat shrink tubing and I have my jury rigged replacement.

Now whoever has an LTR impeller, give it up. I pinned and epoxed my stock impeller together. Probably not quite as good of a MacGyver job as the spring thingy.

this might go too far, mod delete if it is!
the last ride of last season, i brought my dog hannah. i usually bring her, shes good for about 6 miles and she runs oun of steam. she knows where the truck is and will wait for us(me) to get back. i always leave food and water.
anyways i had to go #2 so i rode a bit into the brush and did my business. as i was getting ready to clean up i could hear her eating something, and sure enuf, turned around and it was THAT. brought her home and let her lick my kid sister before i said anything, cruel i know but she had it coming. no tools, but darned (siclytwizted) funny

That is funny. I'm not going to delete it but this has gotten a bit off topic for this forum. I'll let it ride though. You can always start a "dog stories" thread in the general forum in the future. I just dropped my pit off at the vet hospital this morning for knee surgery. It will cost me more $$ than my own surgery co pay expenses! I have a real weak spot for dogs especially pitbulls that are great pets when you understand them.
