Brain dead lemmings!

Not very many orange around my neck of the woods.

People around here never even heard of GAS GAS much less even seen one. They think that I have some custom graphics on my bike. I wore a GAS GAS sweatshirt to work and they thought that I was protesting the fuel prices. Had to explain it so many times that I never wore it again.

I also visit the orange site. Owned 5 of them, (Son races one now) they where all good. So were my red, blue, yellow and green ones. I did have one POS, when I was younger I had a '81 YZ125, the first liquid cooled mx bike.

I'm not brand loyal. The most important thing is to not lie to yourself about what you think you need and get what you really need.

I gotta stop going over the orange site and browsing around. I have never heard such narrow minded dribble in all my life!

Yeah, there are some real orange "goobers" over there. Some of them have never known any other brand. And what gets me is the problems that they have had every year, maybe not the same problem but a problem that just about everyone has...

That's funny. With faded red plastics...I get 2 questions "Gas...what?" "How'd you get a headlight on the pink CR?"

Back in the old days,, when I had my 97 gas gas 250ec and would stop and get fuel with it in my s-10.. I'd get the "who makes that?".. I'd go into the story of what it was.. and then get,, "no,, really, who makes it? kawasaki? honda? looks like one??" So I just put John deere stickers on I had from work(I work for a major JD golf and turf dealer) and when people ask I say JD and they go.. ok and walk away.. Actual riders new JD did not make bikes and would still talk.. but it kept the Harley Davidson guys pacified.. and the "i used to ride years ago on a honda kx600" guys..

Man, that's crazy.... I just had someone tell me something nearly identical to that this past week. only it was a honda kx550. There's just nothing you can say to that other than, Yeah that's cool.

It's all either orange or blue here where I live.

I have a buddy who believes in the orange.. tells you its no bike or ktm..currently I have one out of default. I needed a DOT bike I could use on the road and for DS runs. Had a 625 sxc for a bit and it was a great bike but just a bit much(62 rwhp and over 300#'s) for the tight woods. And the 450 is a bit small, but I can run the 24 mile round trip from the house to the trails on the bike and stop for fuel on the way, hit the convenience store, or bar for a quick beer on the way home. It fills a gap.. wanted a GG 515 but when i was looking could not find one.. now I found several.. Just not a lot of options for Street legal 4 strokes that are trail worthy, light and fast.. besides KTM.. Husky but I'm short..

having an ex gasgas six days technician just down the street steered my vote...

having said that i did use to have a ktm exc 200 and it wasnt a bad bike... not a patch on my ec 300 tho :p

I was talking to a guy two weeks ago who told me he thought he was gonna get himself a KMT600.

When I first got my nambo I had a group of guys on ktm's ask my brother Inlaw (while I was climbing the hill they all couldn't) if that was "some sort of Chinese knock off" lol

Must be all those cheap bolt on parts you've got on it Trev. Hahah! You have to admit the 2010/2011 models do have a bit of a chinga look to them though. Like an oversized pit bike. Hahah!

the chinese knock off is the new husky? or the new Honda?? Now I'm not sure you could call the KTM's indian knockoffs as to some extent its an indian based company.. so its not a nock off.. just a austri-indian bike? Makes almost less sense typed out as does the reality..
