Both Nissin & brembo are quality brakes good enough for 315mph moto gp missles.

Have you bled the brake? what condition are the pads in, try some 'sintered' ones for more bite.
What about the brake line? swap them out for braided ones.

I have 98 ec250 with brembo's fitted which I stripped down and rebuilt using all of the above I have suggested to you
They are excellent brakes, however from experience the parts are stupidy expensive I think I paid 9 pounds for a rubber slider cover and I needed 2 !!

hi savage sausage
thanks for your input but..
gp bikes dont go 315mph and there braking set ups are unrelated to our dirt bikes for many obvious reasons
have tried many pad types, brands, sintered expensive pads etc..
My machine is running a braided line

your year runs brembo??? is that on a marzocchi forks?
Cheers

sorry typo on the 315mph I meant 215mph.

my point regarding that was ,they are as good as each other.
no it's a six days models so runs paioli's

I've used a couple of different calipers and master cylinders on my supermoto and the fork mount is the same as ktm 95mm

I tried a Brembo front caliper and master cylinder on my 13 Gas Gas and the mount for the brake was juuuust a hair off, although the bolt holes did line up (using a 2007 KTM 250 XCFW front brake setup). The stock rotor grazed the inside of the caliper. So I never was able to tell if it made a difference because I didn't want to take a chance on a mishap and didn't want to fuss with it anymore. It's funny because my 13 had terrible front brakes and no amount of bleeding, changing pads, etc. seemed to improve it. My 14 has great brakes, so I'm really not sure what the difference is.

Perhaps because GG was at the bottom of the vendor list and were using factory-seconds? I certainly believe that was the case with the Keihin carbs on the 2012 model year.:(

phoenix! thanks for the info.. much appreciated, yep the nissin setup is crap.. this would have to be the let down on my machine. i have tryed and tryed to get it good with little improvement. cheers

thanks for your input. what year is your supermoto? what worked best.. your thorts on the nissin gear?
cheers

I had the very same problem. I had one of my worst crashes this time last year because i kept getting air in the system. Ended up being my bleeder. It was overtightened or machined crooked. I tried a plain banjo, diff lever off a jap nissan, pads etc with no real luck to get them like i wanted after i fixed the bleeder. I ended up buy a late model (12 i think) rmz250 whole system and swapping the caliper mounts. Works great! Only bitch is the rmz line is shorter so i put a 13 kz front plate on it and routed it in front of the plate.

Scorpa- well the bike is a 2011, bought it in enduro spec and the nissin was crap, spongy and no feel but I only rode it up the road once before I supermoto'd IT I then went to a brembo 4 pot and brembo m/c and then after that a beringer m/c and 6 pot beringer caliper and I love it obviously I Know it's not much use for most of you as you all ride off road
