Lowered Base Gasket from .5 to .3, now bog at WOT

Ahh. That's my pet hate. Inline filters. Someone needs to invent a curved one. I've seen, used a right angled one but it didn't seem to cure all faults.

Gotta watch for kinks in the line.. and after a while they do block up too. Amazing how much crud can still find their way in there.

Lean?

So I dropped the main jet down to a 172. the bike is going great once it warmed up, no bogging at. I managed to get a decent plug chop at wide open throttle on a service road at the end of my ride this weekend.
What do you reckon on this plug? Looks a bit lean, might go back up to the 175 or 178. I checked the plug last week after normal trail riding and it was black, so not lean in the 1/8 to 1/2 throttle range.
Thinking about lifting the needle clip to (from 3) 2 to go with the 175, many people out there running that combo?
Cheers all

In the old days of leaded fuel I'd say that looks mighty fine. Not sure about unleaded, all my roadracing was with leaded av gas.

Just try the needle for feel.
