So my wife says no new bike this year so I am going to build a cool bike room . The room is the old milking room on my farm , 5 windows 13 by 32 in need of new floor and ceiling . This will not be a repair room I have a full shop to do that . This is just a Man room to store my dirt bike fleet now at 4 Gassers 1 Sherco and 1 Honda . So there are some things that are a must like music , pictures and an alarm system . So what do you think I should have in my Man Room ?

Ok You Asked... Definitely a motorcycle themed bar complete with bar sink kegerator, refrigerator with ice maker, plenty of Jack:D, one minimum 60" tv then 2 or 3 strategically placed 32" tv's with surround sound, 4 or 5 motorized rotating bike stands located along the 32' wall with accent lighting, vintage motocross posters framed and lighted, stained concrete flooring with area rugs to help control sound, several easy chairs a couch, and a big ass fireplace;).

It's Black Friday weekend. Pick up a wicked Audio Video setup and work from there. Find some movie theater seats, put a food/drink table in front of it, and you have a good central starting point. If you want to enjoy your motorcycle activities, don't focus on the bikes as the central theme, but use them for the ambiance. Basically, make a killer theater/gathering place for everyone, and have movie or theme nights to enjoy everything you enjoy. Do you hunt? Travel? Use those as theme nights along with bike movie nights as well as bench racing.

I will also say that having a central location to offer up for neighborhood meetings is a real bonus, if you like your neighbors, that is.

I am building a plan for my basement, to convert into a bedroom unit with a big common space for entertaining. Not anything to spectacular, but I want a generic type entertainment room that I can roll I bike into if I want.

1, Depending on how you ride or crash you can have a shelf or wall of pain. You can display bent, broken or worn out bike parts as well as protective gear that has saved your body.

2, The beer chiller will make a good place to put all of the old bike stickers you don't use on your bike or tool box.

3, Sounds like you have room for a few bikes in the bike room to add the smell of two stroke air freshener.

4, TV to watch GoPro and other videos.

5. A few lit dirtbike head and tail lights would be cool.

Very creative ! My wife says I should make a table out of a bike laid sideways ? Or a bike in glass to make a bar ?

Quite a plan you have. Soon your wife will realize the cost of this room and the influences it will bring that the new bike is really much cheaper:)

If anyone has any old headlight that I could use in my room let me know ? I will pay for the shipping . Thanks PM me .I think I can do some cool stuff with some old lights with the shrouds .

I kept my shop and bike rooms separate also. It was hard for me to keep the finished bike area clean if I tried to work on restorations there, so I made a practice of storing my collection in a separate room as you see here. One thing that was important to me and I don't see it mentioned - I run a dehumidifier in my garage and shop 24 hours a day. Even though both have heat pumps and are heated/cooled year around - you'll be amazed at how much moisture these units pull and mine only cost me $2 ~ $3 more a month to run. I live on the East Coast where humidity is above 50% most of the year. Make it yours and what you want. We don't count!

Regards, Gordon
