Just got a couple private label silencers in from Cannon Racecraft.

On first glance they are very short and look like they must be loud. They have very well built mounting tabs, with a very professional looking setup. They fit like a glove when mounted. Weight on the Cannon is 13.7~oz less than a Q-Stealth. They are not as quiet as the Q-Stealth, but the Quiet is quite quiet. I would say the Loud is a small step louder than the Turbine Core 2. They both seem to sound more like a KX500 style motorcycle. The silencer comes with a removable spark arrestor for closed courses, and easily installed with 2 allen screws.

There is a definite increase in horsepower. Wish I had a dyno to test what it comes to. The Power is by far a snappier silencer than the Quiet, but they both had improvements in throttle response compared to the Q-Stealth. All I had to change for jetting was went one clip richer on the needle.

For the money, it seems these are worth every bit of it. I have not repacked one yet, but they seem like they would be extremely simple to repack.

I have 3 rides under my belt and this silencer seems to be doing its job very well.

Richard keeps telling me about these. I guess I should try one. I have never really noticed much difference from one silencer to another in terms of power. Of course I have never run a shorty and never will. I know a guy who has a shorty on his KTM 300 and I want to set his bike on fire every time I hear it.

I wonder how this compares to the Leo Vince.

On a side note, My Qstealth has a small hole in the outer canister from where the little rubber tab on the fender rest on it. The vibration caused it to slowly wear a hole. I am thinking a smaller silencer will not rub on the tab.

For the '12? I don't like the Stealth, had one on my '07 and sold it in a week. Too big.
