CC stuffing screws

It looks like I am going to pick up an EC300, Six days I think, not sure what year but 2012-13 I think.

The current owner had one of the little screws come out of the plastic stuffing pieces on the crank. Apparently no damage, it was running fine and then the next time he went to start it, it was stuck. He took it apart and fished the screw out. I don't think the screw can be replaced without splitting the cases and separating the crank halves.

Does anyone know if that screw can be replaced without splitting the case?

If the case must be split, any recommendations on a good shop to ship it to?

I've done business with all the local shops. I'll buy parts and tires from them....

I've split a case or two. I have also found that using a good shop with prior experience is money well spent.;)

Spray some brake parts cleaner into the hole first to clean oil out of the threads so the Loctite can hold. Also use real Loctite or other quality thread lock. compound

Motor is back together and bike is running beautifully.

It is a 2011, 300 six days and has the ohlins shock with the adjuster knob at the end of the shock shaft.

Does anyone know which way that knob goes for more or less damping?

I'm thinking CCW looking down the length of the shock is less.

If its the black one, as you look down from the top of the shock, clockwise means less rebound damping. The compression adjusters are usu at the top of the shock- or have been on every Ohlins ( and sachs) I've had. Seems only forks get funky with mixing up compression and rebound.
I could be wrong though !
