does anybody know what the thickness of the Gasgas friction plates are? i just bought a cr 250 basket case , and long story short i took one of the clutch plates and matched it up with the Gasagas plate and it was perfect, but i would like to know the thickness of the Gasser plate so i can measure the 2 before i order a set, if it works it will save a little bit on clutch plates, i priced a set of Cr plates at$ 60.00 verues the Gasser plates at $ 125.00

friction disc:
2.75 to 2.85 mm
wear limit: 2.68 mm

drive plates:
1.45 to 1.55 mm
Limit: 1.40 mm

which year cr250 was it? i'd love to buy some friction plates for cheap..

was that a honda cr250 or a husky cr250??

i found this info:

2001 (honda) cr250 Clutch Disk(s)..............2.85mm (0.112in) - service limit.

assuming stock cr250 new plates at 2.95mm-ish (or more..)*7 = .7mm too tall of a stack... i'm also assuming new gasgas plates at 2.85mm... i guess you could use 50/50 stock/cr and get a stack height that would be close enough. but it would probably drag.... are the drive plates the same as gasgas??

i checked the Barnett website and the Gas Gas part no. is the same as a few of the hondas cb650 and an 81 cr450
