Clutch Slave. How much movement?

I'm new to hydraulic clutches so would really appreciate some info.On an EC250 1999 how far should the clutch slave piston move on full lever travel? On mine it seems to be about 2mm, doesn't seem much?

I'm trying to rules out some possible causes to a problem I have with disengaging the clutch.

Thanks for that. It was only a guess on my part, I haven't measured it correctly. It sounds as if its working as it should.

FWIW the clutch will not disengage but it has sat for a while so it might just be the plates are stuck.

mine would do that when parked for a while..

How do you free it? I was going to start it on the stand, knock it in gear, then rev it up while operating the clutch and brake. Probably not the most intelligent approach!

i have a small ramp on my shop.. i would start it, warm it up, roll off the ramp and click into gear and ride it for a few minutes and it would start to work..

probably not the best option either, but always worked..
