Coming to Colorado to ride

Last week of July (24th-31th). I'm coming from Tennessee with two buddies from Kentucky. We'll meet up with a friend who lives in Salida, Co and ride there and surrounding areas. It sure would be nice to meet and ride with you guys who live out there so let me know if you can cut loose for a day or two of riding and other fun. - Ken

I can break away to meet up with you guys for a day. I'm coming from the Denver area so I will have to meet you for your ride...Does you "local connection" have the rides planned? What day will you be there to start riding and what's your last day of riding? Any chance I can talk you into a trip up north to Rand, Co (the old Nat'l enduro trails are very nice)? I'm likely the only GG rider from our group as my riding partner had an "intimate encounter" with a tree yesterday possibly ending his season. Luckily, his water pump gasket for his new 2010 300 did not arrive and he bent/broke his YZ 285 along with his ankle, knee, ribs, sternum, shoulder, other leg, arms, and head...Pretty much a total body thing! My "local connection" is Jack Gordon. He's ridden much of South and Central Colorado. I don't know what he has planned except that he will be over at Ouray toward the end of next week. We should get into Salida this Saturday morning and leave probably the following Saturday. A trip up north would be awesome but may have to work it in as the last day of riding before heading home.

We are going out the first week in Aug and will probably miss you. Taylor Park and Sargeants area, which is just on the the other side of Monarch Pass from Salida.
