Core EXP pricing

It seems my revealing of what I paid for my Recluse has generated some interest here on the forum so I feel I need to add more info about my purchase. I made that purchase through an authorized Recluse dealer but I am considered by that dealer as a "sponsored rider". I do not race yet but I do ride with his customers and do send him business (he has a motorcycle repair shop) and run his stickers on my bike. Don't expect to get that good of a deal unless you're a member of MTDR (MIDDLE TENNESSEE DIRT RIDERS) and ride near middle Tennessee. You are welcome to call him for his best price but I won't post his number on this public forum because I don't want him to get in trouble with Recluse. PM me and I will gladly get back to you with his name and number. He doesn't take credit cards or personal checks but is totally trust worthy. I can give references like the present and past presidents of MTDR.
I encourage everyone to find out who your local Recluse dealers are and bargain a good price. I have never had an auto clutch before now and I've ridden for 46 years. Even at $900 this would be the best money I ever spent on a bike. I installed it myself (was easy). I now have about 30 hours on the clutch and it hasn't even needed readjustment. My bike is a 2011 model and the manual clutch would squeal some times when placed under a very hard load but never a peep with the Recluse (basket is still stock).

FYI, my LTZ-400 with the Rekluse autoclutch squeals and squawks all the time out of a dead stop (it did not squawk much at all before the swap). That noise makes the GG "squawk" pale in comparison! In sum, the Rekluse is not guarantee that the clutch will become more quiet.

Do you have the anti-squeal kit installed? All the new clutches come from Rekluse come with the optional kit in the box. I don't have it installed, but the tech at Rekluse said it would make a big difference
Changing to non-synthetic oil was surprisingly effective at reducing the squeal on my orange 300XC with a z-start pro installed. I now use plain Shell Rotella T (recommended by Rekluse). It only chirps a little when I'm really abusing it. So much of an improvement that I never installed the anti-squeal kit.

Disclaimer:
-My 2011 EC300 won't have the Core EXP in it for a week. So I don't know if my past orange experience will transfer. But the stock clutch is so noisy, that I'm inclined put the anti-squel kit in on initial install.

No, I don't have the anti squeal kit. I've had it installed in the LTZ for 7 or 8 years so it was not an option at that time. The squeal usually happens when the motor still warming up and I'm not careful about starting on a downhill. It's my wife's quad and she weighs much less than I do so it is not a problem with her (less body weight equals less squeal...Even on my 300). I use a Yamaha 4T specific motor oil that is highly rated for engine life as I know the squeal is not an issue except for the noise. Frankly, I don't worry about the squeal and careful throttle control and momentum management minimizes it greatly...Well, that and weight management!
