Couple of Questions

Hello All. I have 2 questions and I am relying on all of you to help a brother out. Is there a crossover for the steel clutch plates or is OEM the way to go? My other question is, does anyone else have the problem of the kickstand hitting the bottom corner of the sideplate? I found a fix on here to keep the stand down but not to fix the smashup problem. I have tried to bend the plate flat by gently warming it in the oven but it bends back enough so it really doesn't work. Is grinding a bit of the foot away an idea? I am fiddling with putting a washer in the sleeve of the stand that is on the frame and maybe putting some JB weld on it so it will stay put. Is this ok? Any better ideas? I'm all ears. Thanks.

Mine self trimmed the side plate. Now I carefully follow the stand up with my foot. I've considered getting new sidepanels and trimming them to about half size, but I'm waiting 'till I find some super cheap. Some old ragged '98 KX plates would be perfect to experiment with.

I have found the same issue with the kickstand contacting the side plate when I put it up.
I haven't really looked into it yet though. I'll let you know if I come up with anything.

I have the same problem with the kick stand. It broke my plate so I trimmed the plate. You can carefully bend out the tab on the subframe that the side plate mounts to to move it out.

we had this problem too just put a big blob of weld on the stand right at the top so it stops it returning all the way? what you think
