Crank bearings ignition side...

Can the needle roller (big ol needles!) and ball bearing style be interchanged without issue?

If I remember correctly the roller bearing inner race fits to the crank quite tight, is the ball bearing an interference fit also, or does it slide in?

Based on my experience the ball bearings are not an interference fit on the crank.

I am using ball bearings on both sides i think it's 6206 bearing that is interchangeable with roller bearing. 50 hours with no noticeable change except more cash in my pocket.

Is it the same bearing as the clutch side or different?

After 2008 same on both sides but 03 - 07 have a different type on either side with one being stupidly expensive for a bearing! I think one of mine has had it but dont think im brave enough not to use what was originally put in for the sake of 30quid.
