Sharing some videos of the Desert 100 race that takes place in Odessa, WA in a few weeks.

Wave 2 of 2 race start:

Riders lined up 1 mile away from holeshot. Bikes parked (not running), riders standing on fence line waiting for canon to fire.
Notice the large wreck (2nd place rider as he and bike flip end over end) going full speed. Rider was airlifted out and ended up with only a few broken bones and bumps/scratches....

Looks pretty intense!

I enjoy desert riding, but it always makes me wonder how well those guys know the terrain before they commit 100%.

The guy who cartwheeled must have not known that jump was coming!

I have been debating the Poker ride. It is only 150miles away. Not sure I am ready to race it.

you should go. Kind of like an off-road Sturgis, you have to see it to believe it. There's a huge vendor section with aftermarket parts vendors, food vendors, bike shops and suspension vendors have shops set up making repairs and adjustments, beer garden and band. Sometimes they have KTM (and maybe Husqvarna?) test rides on Saturday.

I did take the precaution of taking off the whole week afterwards...just in case. Taking the son-in-law with me, so there's someone to drive my broken body home:D

If my riding partner gets his forks back from LTR in time I will be there. Look for the white stupid duty with a red tailgate. Cant be to many of those with a gasgas in back.:D
