Dirt Rider Impression 2011 XC250

Awesome X3!
Great read. Sure looks like we're heading for a fantastic year.

Look out Huskys and KTM's there's a new kid on the block.:D

Really great exposure...good to see that:)

Gas Gas sure got the styling right on the money with this model....2011 colors are icing on the cake....and the six days and racing are yet to come

can hardly wait to ride mine....it will be here real soon !!!

Awesome X2! Hey did he hang on to the bike in that one pic.?

No he didn't.
Another funny crash. During the race, we left a gas available after the second section. We were going down a gravel road in the rain and it had a hard left turn. Chris tosses it away in the corner. He said he jumped up hoping nobody saw him and he looks around and about 8 guys had stopped and were staring at him with really wide eyes.
Guess that's why he doesn't work for a street bike mag.

LOL I didn't see how he could have hung on but it sure was a good pic.! The 2010 and 2011 GG's are the best looking bikes on the planet and this exposure will help in getting them on the trails. Now.... do I want another 10 or 11 that is the question.

I stopped by after race to thank chris for testing the gas gas here in midwest. Said he liked the motor and had a blast riding it. I told him us old enduro riders would like to see more exotic bike test in dirt rider. Wish I could have gotten there earlier friday to ride that new 300. Cant help but wonder what it feels like compared to my dialed in 05' 300. The new gassers look trick and that nambotin replica was b!tch!n'.

I have a 2011 XC250 on its way...

I have always considered myself a dedicated 125 guy probably always will be...

But I have always been intrigued by the Gas Gas company...when I saw the 2011 XC 250 models.....it was an easy choice

and now I wont have to shift as often :D

ps nice to see fellow Husky riders here

Pics

I figured that would be tough to recover from, but after seeing some pretty crazy moves over the years...... you never know!

Who are you buying it from?

"Trick"?

"The new gassers look trick"
Man, that's really dating yourself:D
That reminds me of drilling out everything on the bike and safety wiring all the bolts back in the '80's- that was the "trick" thing to do.
Don't hear that word much any more.
I'm trying to get up to VT to see the 250XC, but I'll wait for the e-start.

I was "stoked" to finally be eligible for senior class 4 yrs ago. Until I found out thats where all the tough old fast dudes are! Started out racing mx in 81',had alot of bikes over the years. Really like that gas gas motor.

you ain't kidding. i normally ride in 40+ class. i went to a race 3 weeks ago, and they accidentally gave me a 30+ number and i got on the line, and asked the guy next to me that looked about my age, "is this the 40+ class"? he said "no way, this is 30+" - i said "how old are you?" he says "45" - i said, "damn, they put me in the wrong class" - his reply, "i won't run in that 40+ class, way too fast for me"

:)

amazingly, i've been considering running in the bomber class (10 year old bikes) next year in one of the series i do.... i dunno what that will be like, but it sure could be interesting...
