Hey guys just found out that the dlc costing on my forks (shiver 45mm) are worn and causing them to be stiff, what caused investigation was having them revalved less than 5 rides ago was wondering where or cheapest but good place possible to have them re coated or what are my other options as far as a retro fit? Thank you

Have you tried skf seals? I have worn coating and as long as I stay away from cheap seals I don't notice any issues.

Not sure what seals my suspension guy installed he said they should soften up with wear bUT that the coating was worn and it's like 700 fix, anyone convert to kyb or showa?

lots have converted and possibly for a similar price (maybe a touch more) you will end up with better forks

Is it your internal anodozing (upper/outer) or the coating on the lower leg? I have had coating wear on a pair of Sachs from use and notice no stiction issues with either KYB seals or SKF.

In saying that, the Marzocchi forks are known for tight tolerances between the upper bushland and fork outer. Pair this up with significant flex, and possibly over tightened lower triple clamp bolts and you'll notice quite a bit of stiction between the 2 surfaces.

As others have suggested, I'd dig deeper and try to see how they perform without before investing too many dollars. A completed KYB front end with revalved SSS forks will be worlds ahead in performance.

It I compare my beta with the Red DLC coated forks and my Black non coated forks on my GasGas I have reached the conclusion that the DLC is no big deal. The right oil and seals make more of a difference.
