Do any of you ride with a Leatt brace?

The EVS RC3 race collar is what I use too. It feels comfy and gives me a little more piece of mind. I have them on my sons CPs as well. The EVS brace has nice wide shoulder areas, and does not feel threatning even to my plated clavicle. The downside I perceived from wearing it in the shop (this was agreed on by a guy there who rode with it), is it is higher and more restrictive, and seems like it would block more airflow. I think for woods riding in the summer heat that may be an issue, less so for MX and/or cooler climates. I still would buy it over the Leatt if they were the only choices, but I figured this is just the beginning and the neck brace is evolving rapidly. I found another local shop with an Omega brace in stock, I'll have to go try it on when I get a chance.

I have worn the evs brace for 14 months now, I feel naked without it. The only time it bothers me is when I try to look way up. I sometime use it without the neck roll or take it off when I get real hot. I really lihe the way it disperses the load of my pack. My pack can weigh alot some days with tools, water, spares and sometimes a chainsaw. I tried the Leatt on and it did fit nice but like others have mentioned it seems like it could bite you in a crash. I unfortunately tested my brace with a violent high side. I lawn darted about 30 feet and hit head first. Of course i have no way of knowing what might have been but I do know that my shoulders, neck and clavilce area and back were sore for days.

So the backpack shoulder straps are placed over the brace? I didn't know U could ride without neck roll thing. Does the brace perform the same with or without the neck roll? If so, by removing the neck roll, not only is it cooler, but do U not get more head movement/freedom? Thanks.

Lately with a chainsaw in the pack I have gone so far as to ziptie the backpack to the brace, with the straps over the brace. Tied to the pack or not It really disperses the load nicely and keeps the brace flat against your back where it is supposed to be. I can ride all day with a fully loaded pack. You get lots of air on your neck without the roll and a tiny bit more movement as well. I have had to cut my coats down the back for a bigger opening to go around the brace. Here is a vid of the brace in action

I figure anything is better than nothing and this one works nice with my pack. Recently At work i saw a guy that fell down 6 stairs and broke his neck resulting in him being a quad, it doesn't take much at the right angle to drastically change your world.

Wow - watched that video several times...good job getting your knees over the bars...done that same wipeout several times myself.

Hey Peb, did the other guys doing all the laughing make it over that log successfully? Three in a row...if I had been there, it would have been four in a row.
