Do I need to change my springs??

Sounds like your about there, should be a vast improvement. You bummped into the stock valving limitations a lot faster than a typical slower woods rider.

You might be right. I had a couple of buddies who are heavier and ride in the B class who got along OK with my suspension. I was OK with it in some situations and rode the bike within the suspension limits vs having a bike that exceeds my abilities. Weird role reversal here.

In my area we don't have tight woods like back east, south, etc so I probably have experienced more of the overall fork travel than the average guy, unless they are riding GNCC stuff. Don't get me wrong, we have plenty of 1st gear gnarly stuff, but we hava a lot of 4-6th stuff. The suspension here has to work well everywhere or will not have a good day.

I am no expert I just know what feels right but don't necessarily know how to get there. I am on a steep learning curve though and am determined to make this bike work. I am sure I will make more mistakes before I get it right. Perhaps my set up though is not the best for TIGHT woods guys. I do think it is worth the effort to look inside and see what is there for those who are not happy with their forks.

You right, they are super easy to work on.
