I've learned that the rear upper shock mount was moved down just slightly during this period - I think in the year 2004. I ask because my Marzocchis are about 6 to 10mm (need to measure) taller than my WP43s that I took off, and it's causing my bike to turn like a Harley.
Just an idle wondering of mine. I'll likely just have to get handlebar risers so I can get the rake set on my bike proper since the forks are almost touching the bars. The other option is to cut and weld the shock mount lower to raise the rear - then I can use later model shocks without the cylinder hitting my frame.
I'm wondering too what the length of the later shocks is. Mine is 426mm. If they're the same length then that would suggest the later bikes just sit higher by a few MM, since the upper shock mount sits about 10mm lower on the frame.
