Don't need that bit

I broke mine too. I think that part is something like $50 or $60. I don't need a tail light so I just cut mine off and filled the void by gluing a piece of dense closed cell foam in there. I can't see replacing it for the money when I'm just going to break it off again.

Dont suppose you have a vid demonstrating the correct technique required to perform this improvised 'tail tidy'?

I'm sorry I don't. Here's a few picks if that helps. Sorry for the mud.

You lose the sweet hand holds. But if you have a strap then it doesn't matter. Personally I don't care for the straps so I cut the side panel to get my hand in there.

Nice fix,and a cutdown stealth to boot!
Perhaps i was too subtle above, was hoping for the vid demonstrating the correct technique for snapping it off!haha

Hahah! Ah. That would have been a more entertaining post for sure. I know mine was pretty humorous.

I looped mine out on a hill climb after class on the first day of Shane Watts in-depth school. The next day he talked to us about not looping out our bikes on hill climbs. Luckily my friends kept there mouth shut so I didn't have to be an example.

Perhaps your friends figured words were unnecessary (assuming you hadnt repaired it yet, your bike would have said more than words!)
I almost looped my brand new 13 on my 2nd ride, landed perfectly vertical, made a horrible plastic crunch as tail bit dirt.expected to see exactly as above, but got lucky, couldnt find any damage.good to know it can be fixed nice and tidy
