Ec200 hybrid. Anyone tried??

So, I've got a 1999 ec200 complete engine. From the carb and pipe to 2 good cylinders and Pistons. I'm thinking of doing a hybrid bike. Similar to the kdx/kx 125 frame conversion. Maybe a kx125 or cr125 frame and stuff my engine in it. Anyone have any suggestions, or feedback??

It will never work. Send me your engine.

In all seriousness, I've been keeping my eye out for something in the 200cc flavor to swap into my '98 KX125 chassis since the engine needs as much work as the bike is worth. Having the '98 KX parked side by side with my '01 GG 300 shows just how similar they really are. I'd bet that the GG 200 swap would not be much more difficult than the KDX engine swap. Do you have any interest in parting with your engine?

I have a 99 EC 200 and I had a 2005 YZ 125......with both bikes sittin side by side I too often dreamed of the 200 motor in a light weight smaller compact frame.......then I woke up........the 200 motor is SO big and heavy that it would look out of place in a 125 frame. Its very wide.....

There was a member that shoehorned a 250 or 300 motor in a Honda aluminum frame a few years back......

I am looking for a bottom end for a ec200 2003 the crank in mine is in bad shape and I cannot find one if you know anybody that has one also a flywheel

one 300 in crf 250 frame here in Bulgaria .

I looked really hard at this for a while. I actually had a CR250 rolling chassis and KDX200 motor. And I decided against it. The work and customization I figured would cost more that both bikes were worth

Also part of the reason people do a kdx hybrid is because they don't like the chassis. And in my opinion there is nothing better than a gasgas chassis.
