EC200 top end rebuild help!

Hey, I have a 2001 EC200. Bought the Wiseco piston from the crossover listing for a Polaris snowmobile. The issue I'm having is I think it may be the wrong size piston now. I'm assuming the crossover is just for a nominal sized piston, not an oversized. Has anyone done a rebuild with this piston kit? Haven't found anything on this.

My cylinder has some scoring, enough that I can feel with my nail. Also has a ridge in the top. The bore at the ridge measures 62.47mm, and is about 0.002"-0.005".

So what do I do? Does anyone know of a sleeve made for these bikes? Heck I would almost just buy a new cylinder but I'm assuming the price is gonna be outrageous.

I can't be the first person to rebuild one of these top ends. Please help, what would you do in my situation with the Polaris piston and a slightly scored cylinder with a ridge?

Thanks!

P.S. I'm also tearing apart the bottom end, doing the crank bearings. My bike is all in pieces!

My last piston was a Wisco 62.45mm see the attached photo.
I have not used the Polaris piston as Wisco still makes the OEM piston. If I'm not mistaken it is available in a a,b,c&d.

I would take a scotch brite pad and give it a good cleaning.

Hope this helps.....a little.

The Wiseco piston I have says 62.5, I'll have to measure the actual dimensions though.

If I sent my cylinder out to get renikasiled would they have to open the bore to remove the scrape? Or would redoing the nikasil build up the material on the wall?

The Nikasil lining is completely removed, then reapplied to the correct thickness to accommodate the new piston. There is a chance that the cylinder (aluminum part) is damaged and will need repair, but if it's just the plating then the replate will remove any and all defects and be sized exactly perfect for the new slug.

A sleeve is never a good idea & would rush you about $4-500 anyway.

Replate they remove all old & can hone to size before replating.

I used a Wiseco on my '02 200 B size was available off shelf at Go fasters at the time. No idea is the Polaris one is a straight cross over, may pay to check the pin position, ring pegs etc to be sure.

Having a hard time tracking down crank seals now! The crank bearings are the same as a 90's CR250R. Not sure about the seals though.

Anyone have any info it'd be very appreciated!

Also does anyone know of any exploded view diagrams of the bottom end? Some pieces have kinda moved around out of place and I'm not 100% sure where they go.
