I don't know how I could possibly get it in that position, as much tension is in it!

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED. Problem had nothing to do with the scorpion, instead it was the spring had slipped out of place! I reinstalled it improperly b/c that's how I found it but after looking at pics on here it was wrong, wrong, wrong!!!!!!!! Thanks everyone.

The Scorpion deal wasn't the problem when I got my tranny stuck in 2nd gear in the middle of a harescrambles. It was the little plastic bushing that it slides on. It was out of round and it would work for awhile till it turned just right and the piece stuck on it. Took it out and lightly sanded it till it worked smooth no matter what way it was rotated. Just thought I'd add this in for someone who may be having the same issue down the road
