EStart button

hello all, I have a 2019 Gas Gas EC 300. Just this last weekend my e-start switch stopped working, it was working fine up to that point. When I press the estart button, I do not get a click on the solenoid. So far to test everything, I have jumped the starter solenoid and the starter is working. I have bench tested the starter solenoid and I hear the click when I apply 12v to the terminals where the start button connects to. I have replaced the fuse on the starter solenoid. I have tested the start button leads for ohms when I press the start button and there is continuity. What I have noticed is that there is no 12v on the wire to the actual estart button. I'm assuming there should be 12v at the actual estart button on the handlebar switch cluster, correct? Thank you for any help.

I figured out the issue this weekend, just posting in case it helps someone. I took the starter solenoid off and bench tested it. I put my set up in the pictures but essentially I just put the black wire to ground on the car battery, and then wired the red and yellow wires to a switch similar to the starter switch. The red alligator clip went to the positive side of the battery. When I pressed the switch I heard the click of the solenoid magnet and also took a ohm measurement across the two main posts. So the solenoid was fine. The problem turn out that the starter button on the handlebar switch wasn't working. Once I cleaned up the contacts on the switch with contact cleaner and put it all back together the e-start worked again. Also, I learned that you don't actually need 12v from the handlebar switch, just just need to complete the switch circuit to get the solenoid to trigger.

Good work. Lots of things you are just connecting to ground to complete the circuit. 12v will be delivered to the item.
Contacts are usually brass and to tarnish after time but terrible environment on a dirtbike. Aftermarket single waterproofed switches are better than road based multi clusters bikes come with depending on market I guess.
I think we did that mod on a mates GG as soon as he got it so kill and start were dedicated dirtbike switches.
