Ethanol and Two-strokes...

I agree with GMP on the point that you really don't need race fuel until your compression gets close to the 200psi mark. I don't think that running AV gas will hurt anything as long as you don't get it too lean which is true with any fuel. My only complaint with it is performance seems to change more with less of an air change than other fuels. I would avoid alcohol if possible for the simple reason that it absorbs moisture and becomes very corrosive once it's mixed with water. It does damage when your bike is parked in the garage. If I were in your situation I would consider buying fuel by the barrel in a quantity that you can use without it getting stale.

There was an article about the new 15% ethanol fuel coming to market in our newspaper today. The article stated that it was compatible with most vehicles built within the last 10 years and that not all stations would offer it because of increased price and the amount of people with older cars that couldn't use it. It will be offered separately like E85 is now. Where I live we are forced to use the <10% year around already. Maybe that's why both our bikes run with richer jetting than most (48 pilots, 180 mains, LTR needles)
I'm not worrying about it.
Keep fuel fresh. Replace degraded fuel hoses with ethanol compatible hose. Jet for the fuel you use. What else can you do?
