Hi, I have an ec300 and is thinking of using it to get to work and back about 20Km a day and for weekend enduro riding ..... is it advisable?

As long as its not 20 km at sustained high speeds .Use it enjoy it thats what you bought it for. Try to think of your scoot more of a mistress than a wife, that attitude opens up all kinds of possibilities without the shadow of nasty repercusions.

The guy that bought my 99 used it to comute 60 miles to and from work daily for a couple months. Seemed crazy to me but he said it went like stink woth a small rear sprocket. I had just rebuilt it before I sold it and his story gave me confidence when I rebuilt the 02.

My concern would be security. What would prevent someone from starting it up and riding off?

hi

hi thanks guy for the advise ........ really want a do-all bike ...... and will not scrimp on the maintenance .....

hi

hi, just wondering if anyone did a moatrad conversion for the EC300 ..... as compared to a four stroke motard what are the riding differences?

I can't think of anything less appealing than commuting a 300 enduro bike but each to his own. Like others have said make sure the jetting is rich enough. What is optimal for woods or technical off road may be too lean for sustained road work. That's how I seized mine once. Riding between forests and oops
