Tips or Tricks on pulling the carb?

Just wondering if anyone has any tips or tricks for expediting the removal of the carb for tuning? I'm in the midst of tuning my 2011 ec300 and the process is getting old quick. I've tried loosening the boots on both sides and wriggling it out but it's an absolute bugger to get back in. I've also rotated the rear subframe up to garner more room but that's a process in it's own. Just hoping I'm completely missing something. I don't have a shop manual and I'm new to the bike. Thanks!

Could'n you just rotate the bottom of the carb towards you and open it in situ?

Remove seat and fuel tank.
Remove the lower subframe bolts, loosen the top bolts.
Loosen carb boots.
Remove silencer bolts.
Rotate the subframe up and out of the way.

Yessir, that's one of the methods I was employing. I was just hoping there was a quicker method. Thank you for your input, I really appreciate it.

I actually didn't think of that. But unfortunately I think the gas tank is in the way and there may not be enough slack in the throttle cable but I'm definitely going to check when I get home. Thanks for the idea!

why do you need to remove it? I used to loosen bolts, remove bowl bolt then rotate it the direction i need to either remove slide and pin or replace jets through the bowl nut. I never did anything more significant than that

(don't think you can rotate the carb without taking the bowl nut or slide out)

Loosen the clamps, rotate to get the top and pull it off with cable. Then rotate other way and take plug out and you can reach both jets. If you need to adjust the float it will probably have to come out all the way.

Thank you sir! That's exactly what I'm looking for.

Thank you! Unfortunately I do need to adjust the float height so I guess it's coming out completely.

i'm pretty sure that once yopu have the slide out (think the float bowl plug has to come out to allow you to rotate it enough) then you can pull it out, may have to soften the rubber boots a bit with a hair dryer. It was never fun!
