Exposed connectors

What do you guys do with connectors that don't plug into anything behind the numberplate? I don't want dirt and stuff to get into them. See you in Sumter.

I do what Rod said to the connectors I will never use, with black electrical tape. In the photo below you can kind of see that the extra wires and connectors on the e start make a large clump behind the headlight shell.

But I also use a combination of a thick plastic bag as gasgasman said and tape to protect the connectors for the head light when I remove it and put a MX plate on. The bag lessens the sticky residue left on the connectors and makes getting the tape off easier for when I want to put the head light back on.

Even the connectors in use are not waterproof. This must be a Euro thing as even on my Ducati the only waterproof connectors are for the EFI components. I pack the back sides with hot melt glue or RTV, dielectric grease the contacts, and tape them up after connected. Stuff I don't need or use on the GG I just cut out of the harness. Does the SixDays have that full Euro harness? Way too many wires.

In the U.S. I believe its only the e start models with the full Euro harness from the pics I've seen. The standard model kick start wire harness looks like what is on my 2008 DE, half as much wire or less.

Trust me Glenn I thought about cutting all that extra stuff out, but some seem to like those options being there. So for resale sake I restrained myself and left it intact.
